UNITED KINGDOM, London – 1 October 2015, Sky Betting & Gaming has launched a full eSports betting service including both pre-match and live betting through its partnership with Betgenius.
This month, Betgenius announced the world’s first comprehensive eSports betting service and has already began to sign strategic deals, which will see the sports betting technology leader pave the way for a new revenue stream for betting operators.
According to the recent report by Eilers Research, 2.3 million eSports bettors are expected to wager $315 million on games accounting for industry revenues of $24 million. In 2020, these numbers are expected to rise to 19.4 million bettors, staking a total of $23.5 billion, accounting for $1.81 bilion worth of industry revenues.
